The Prague guesthouse

Prague has been called The Golden City due to the number of golden spires in the city. Now, since the Velvet Revolution, its popularity has risen and many people come to see its architectural heritage.
Prague can offer classical music, with three opera houses in the centre, and many concerts in beautiful halls and churches. It can give you jazz clubs, discos and pop concerts, in fact every musical taste is covered here.
The river Vltava (Moldau) runs through the centre. On one side is the complex of Prague Castle and Mala Strana; on the other side you will find Stare Mesto (Old Town), Nove Mesto (New Town) and Josefov.
Many famous tourist attractions can be reached on foot and during a stroll through the town you will see cobblestoned streets with church spires and domes untouched by wartime.
Public transport in Prague is reliable. Trams, buses and the metro are cheap and clean. There are trains and buses to take you outside the centre if you want to see more of the countryside.
Outside Prague there are some 5500 houses and castles with about 105 open to the public. We have many guide books and lots of tourist information available for our visitors to borrow saving you the expense of buying a guide book you may need for only a short time.

Both Jiri and James can recommend the places to visit and explain some of the traditions and cultural differences to be found in this beautiful country.
