PhDr. Jiří Řezník, Ph.D.

Born 1952. In 1977 he graduated from the Philosophical Faculty, Palacký University Olomouc, in 1981 received his PhDr. and at that time began to deal with economic theory. Between 1984 and 1985 the Czechoslovak Economic Association awarded him its prizes in appreciation of some results of his research work. From 1986 until 1994 he served as a researcher in the Research Institute of Regions and Towns Development in Ostrava. From 1995 to 1997, as an independent researcher, and with the support of the Czech Republic Grant Agency he took part in the solution of the task No 402/95/1324 “Economic and Spatíal Analysis: Integration ofApproaches". He works as a high school teacher of economics at the Department of Applied Economics of the Philosophical Faculty at the Palacky University in Olomouc. His scientific work in the field of economics concerned with a wide scope of topics including inflation, technical progress, regulation of economic mechanism, linkage of approaches economic and spatial analysis, history of economic thought as well as competition among states which is also obvious from a number of his  publications.
